Course Overview

In partnership with thought leading faculty surgeons, we are pleased to offer Differentiated Solutions for Problems in the Hand and Wrist. This course combines didactic presentations with cadaveric, surgical-based training focusing on challenges in the hand and wrist.

Participating surgeons will be guided through orthopaedic challenges centered on surgical solutions for the hand and wrist. This course will allow surgeon attendees to absorb advanced concepts and practice key techniques.

Target Audience

This course is open to current Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Fellows as well as 5th year Residents entering into a Hand and Wrist Fellowship.

Faculty Chair

Mark Rekant, MD

Dr. Mark Rekant completed his undergraduate education at Duke University, and medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at New York University Medical Center and a hand and upper extremity surgical fellowship with The Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Rekant is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He has served as board member at large with the American Association of Hand Surgery and as President of the Philadelphia Hand Club.
